Position Purpose:

The Assistant Director supports the Integrity Formation program and the Dean of Students. The role focuses on investigation and resolution of integrity formation cases, with meetings that support campus climate and student retention. For students accused of policy violations, the role uses developmental and trauma-informed practices to support their continued experience at the University. The position also provides consultative support to faculty and staff working with students of concern or who have allegedly violated the Code of Student Conduct. The program aims to connect students to campus resources and offer a non-adjudicative option for resolving conflicts to support retention. Under the direction of the Dean of Students, this position will operationalize a conflict resolution program for students expressing concerns and/or seeking alternative resolution to integrity formation matters. The role may assist in providing education and outreach support to employees and students. Position Responsibilities

Integrity Formation meeting and process management (70%) Case management of CARE cases (20%) Consultation with campus partners (5%) Creating and coordinating a conflict resolution program (5%) Investigate alleged violations of the Code of Student Conduct through the integrity formation process. Hold and manage meetings using the process and procedures in the Code of Student Conduct. Determine and communicate integrity formation outcomes (sanctions) where appropriate. Coordinate the work of other conduct administrators, including staff in Housing & Residence Life and graduate interns, to assign and resolve integrity formation matters. At the direction of the Assistant Dean of Students for Student Care and Support, manage a caseload of students referred to the CARE team for support. As necessary, perform investigations into allegations of sexual misconduct under University policies, complying with Title IX and the Code of Student Conduct. Serve as a resource and support to staff and faculty regarding student and classroom management issues; provide guidance for referring matters for alternative resolution or resolution through the Integrity Formation process. Provide information regarding the Code of Student Conduct and take appropriate actions to resolve issues with faculty and staff. Evaluate and suggest improvements to the students of concern assessment and support processes using data, tracking and trend analysis under the direction of the Dean of Students. Develop and implement training programs and curriculum for employees and students on awareness, reporting and protocols. Develop communication materials in various media formats to support outreach. Coordinate a conflict resolution program designed to support students experiencing conflict within the campus community in conjunction with the Dean of Students. Remain current and trained on best practices, emerging strategies and research at local, state, federal and international levels supporting campus safety, including Title IX, VAWA, NaBITA, harm to self and others rubric, threat assessment, Clery Act, and applicable laws. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Master's degree in Education, Student Affairs, or Student Development. Knowledge of student development theory and ability to translate into practice in student conduct administration; experience adjudicating student conduct violations in University or Residence Life and Housing settings. High level of computer competency. Demonstrated strong verbal and written skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic work environment. Ability to develop reports and use data tracking to guide decision making. Desired Qualifications

Two to five years of work in a University-level Student Conduct Office as a hearing officer. Experience working with faculty. Ability to navigate complex systems. Experience serving on a Behavioral Intervention Team. Completed training in Clery Act, Title IX and VAWA. Application Instructions

Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000. Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and market information, not on gender or other protected status.
