Job Description Summary The Director of Retail Product Management within the Information Technology (IT) department is responsible for overseeing and driving the strategic planning, development, and execution of all retail product initiatives. This role encompasses management of product lines across See’s shops, ecommerce B2C and B2B platforms, marketing, and CRM solutions. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of retail processes, technology integration, and product lifecycle management to drive efficiency, innovation, and alignment with company goals.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $176,000k - $205,000k per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Formulate and implement a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and growth targets.

Perform ongoing research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, opportunities, and potential threats.

Partner with senior leadership, marketing, retail operations, and other departments to ensure cohesive product strategies and initiatives.

Product Development

Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap, outlining key milestones, deliverables, and timelines.

Identify opportunities for new product development and enhancements to existing products, focusing on customer needs and user experience improvements.

Utilize agile methodologies to streamline product development processes and ensure timely delivery.

Team Management

Lead and mentor a high-performing product management team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Allocate team resources effectively to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.

Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success and impact of product initiatives.

Technical Oversight

Oversee the integration of retail product management systems with other IT systems to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to inform product development and strategic decisions.

Manage relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services.

Leadership and Team Development

Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the retail product management team.

Encourage the adoption of new technologies, methodologies, and best practices.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of retail product management professionals.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Budgeting and Resource Management

Manage the retail IT budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation to support strategic objectives.

Monitor and control costs to achieve financial targets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

At least 10 years of experience in product management within the retail sector, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.

Strong technical background with experience in ecommerce platforms, CRM systems, and marketing technologies.

Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.

Proficiency in supply chain management software and IT systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to drive change and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
