The Senior Media Planner is a key member of the Health Media Hub team and is responsible for delivering smart, innovative and performance-driven campaigns for our healthcare clients. You will serve as a strategic resource and partner on clients’ current state and areas of opportunity across media investments, along with partnering with the Health Media Strategy team in selecting media partners that achieve strategic and tactical objectives.

Additionally, you will lead and manage workflow processes for healthcare campaigns to ensure fulfillment on all media planning, analysis, and scheduling requests. You will also partner with internal teams to ensure strategic direction and goals are achieved and reflected in tactical channel and cross‑channel plan recommendations.

The Senior Media Planner will lead the team in staying at the cutting edge of media innovation within the healthcare industry and educate the larger brand/client teams on relevant opportunities and challenges.

Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

WHAT YOU’LL DO: Main Responsibilities:

Act as key point of contact for overall healthcare business and strategy development

Expand and grow the specialized media offering at Havas Edge HMH; identify and develop the optimal strategic and tactical performance campaign approach within channel (Display, Mobile, programmatic, etc.) and for cross channel

Develop and present client‑facing media plan presentations and lead buying presentations

Develop guidelines and strategies that can apply across the business and to individual campaigns as they are planned in partnership with Strategy and Comms

Oversee all media campaigns from concept to completion, ensuring campaigns are executed with excellence and media plans stay within budget

Maintain quality control while ensuring projects and campaigns are produced completely, correctly, accurately, and efficiently for clients

Identify and capitalize on trends through partnership with Client Service, Analytics and other Digital Media leads to apply broader brand learnings, as relevant

Partner with key media partners to develop unique opportunities and/or identify key initiatives for potential programs

Be accountable for accuracy, media intelligence and thought leadership (syndicated insights, RFPs, etc.)

You demonstrate a solid understanding of our clients’ business, the business problem(s) to solve and offer solutions to, and the consumer journey

Identify and advise on new ways to reach targets by staying apprised of industry standards, along with new media programs and opportunities

Media Planning & Execution:

Operate and execute media planning and buying for the delivery of advertising campaigns for your client portfolio; evaluate and assess media performance to determine the extent to which the original media objectives, strategies and KPIs were accomplished

Be accountable for reaching targeted client objectives, KPI’s, deadlines, budgets, etc.

Oversee and manage client requests, in partnership with Client Services, to ensure client satisfaction on campaign delivery and performance is met (i.e. plan changes, budget changes, QBRs, etc.)

Ensure team members are providing Client Services with campaign insights, reporting and optimization recommendations, and input on regular reporting documents

Oversee the implementation and execution of the cross‑channel media research and media plan, which includes consumer profile development, consumption reports, flowcharting, budgeting, scheduling, and establishing benchmarks for control KPIs, CPA, etc.

Insights & Brand Learnings:

Support and partner with the Advertising Operations and Analytics team in streamlining and standardization of reporting and gathering of insights.

Ensure insights are strategically applied to future efforts for the brand and packaged in a consistent and productive way

Work collaboratively on learning agendas for the brand as well as partner‑specific initiatives

Stay on top of healthcare industry trends and provide education to clients and team members

WHO YOU ARE: Position Requirements:

You have a minimum 3‑4 years’ experience in media planning and media buying with a focus on digital media

You have a minimum 1‑2 years of hands‑on experience in a healthcare or pharma focused advertising agency or relevant client experience

You have prior experience in multichannel campaigns management (Display, Mobile, Programmatic, etc.)

You have experience within Ad Exchange platforms (i.e., Google, Facebook, etc.)

You are familiar with the rules and regulations of the FDA for pharmaceutical advertising

You are proficient with any of the following tools: AdServer, Prisma, Nielsen, @Plan, AdRelevance, Google Analytics, Datorama and other related software

You have a solid understanding of media research and how to leverage data

You have demonstrated success in 'owning' high‑quality campaigns that have provided measurable and meaningful results

You understand the elements of strategic marketing performance planning and can actively participate to deliver against it

You are familiar with the principles of marketing and advertising, media concepts and terms, creative, and budget requirements

You demonstrate a complete understanding of agency planning procedures and internal capabilities

You have prior experience overseeing media bookings and oversight of financial tracking

You show proven success in establishing, building, and maintaining relationships with clients

You can manage multiple projects with short timelines in a fast‑paced dynamic environment and experienced in managing projects from concept to completion

You work well under pressure, while maintaining accuracy, strict confidentiality, and a professional demeanor

You enjoy interacting with people at all levels of the organization (internal and external stakeholders) and fostering strong cross‑functional teamwork

You have prior experience in managing, training, and mentoring junior staff; ability to set clear objectives and day‑to‑day priorities for yourself and junior staff members

You are advanced in Microsoft PowerPoint (i.e. deck building) and Microsoft Excel (i.e. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs), with the ability to analyze data and draw conclusive insights

You have outstanding written and oral communications skills and the ability to think strategically

You have a high level of attention to detail and organization

You demonstrate high initiative and willingness to assume greater responsibility

You are self‑motivated and productive in both independently and in a collaborative team setting

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field of study
