Overview & Responsibilities Seeking a dynamic, well‑versed, initiative‑taking finance leader with deep expertise in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), strategic deal execution, financial planning and analysis, long‑range planning and team leadership. The Sr. Director will spearhead inorganic growth initiatives, lead all phases of the M&A lifecycle—opportunity identification, due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, integration planning and post‑merger analysis—while overseeing the FP&A team for the consolidated Stations group and CMV Revenue. The role reports to the CFO, News, Stations, and CMV and collaborates with senior executives and cross‑functional teams to deliver actionable insights and support strategic decision‑making across Linear and Digital platforms.
Responsibilities Mergers and Acquisitions
Assist with the end‑to‑end M&A process: sourcing, evaluating, and executing acquisition opportunities to expand the station footprint and drive strategic growth.
Direct financial due diligence, valuation modeling and scenario analysis for potential transactions, ensuring robust risk assessment and alignment with corporate strategy.
Oversee the integration of companies following a merger, ensuring operations and finances function collaboratively and monitoring resulting advantages.
Guide the development of detailed trend analyses, long‑range business plans, revenue and expense budgets/forecasts, and monthly reporting processes to ensure accuracy and predictability.
Prepare high‑level presentations and deal summaries for executive management, providing clear recommendations and strategic insights.
Finance
Deliver comprehensive variance explanations on monthly actual reporting and forecasts, revising analyses as new information emerges.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting processes to ensure accuracy and predictability.
Synthesize complex financial and strategic information into clear, concise formats for stakeholders.
Supervise and mentor the FP&A team, fostering professional development and an inclusive, high‑performance culture.
Ensure solid insight and execution of all financial operations, including accounting, free‑cash‑flow reporting and application of revenue recognition methodologies.
Manage accounting duties, track cash flow, examine budget variances and follow correct revenue recognition rules.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or Economics.
Minimum 12+ years in Finance, with significant experience in M&A Media/Entertainment/Digital focus preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience creating materials for senior management.
Highly analytical, able to synthesize data and provide insightful narratives.
Additional Qualifications
Proven track record of leading successful M&A transactions and integrations.
Strong comprehension of Linear Broadcast/Syndication and Digital Space.
Exceptional executive team, management and organizational skills.
Results‑oriented, able to multitask in a dynamic environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
