Territory Sales Manager – Specialty . As the face of Sumitomo Pharma America (SMPA) to our customers, you will own territory sales performance with a performance-based environment of ownership and. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the assigned territory and grow market share by closing new business and expanding existing accounts. Establish deep, meaningful business relationships based on clinical and market dynamics. Support sales results with exceptional clinical expertise, thoughtful planning, purposeful action, and compliant resource utilization. Assess and analyze product, competitor trends, and market dynamics and provide sales strategy recommendations. Collaborate, communicate candidly, and provide constructive communication with team members. Travel throughout the territory; overnight stays may be required, including meetings that extend over several days and may include weekends. Key Core Competencies

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience required; mastery of product and disease state knowledge. Top‑ranked sales performance (ideally top 25% of the nation) documented. Preferred: Experience working within Urology, Experience with a pharmaceutical launch, Knowledge of market access formulary positioning (pull‑through and push‑through). General Skills
Decision‑making, leadership, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills in a rapidly evolving organization. Passion to learn, grow and develop knowledge, techniques, and skills. Superior written and oral communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. The base salary range for this role is $113,600 to $142,000. The complete rewards package includes merit‑based salary increases, incentive plan participation, 401(k) plan eligibility, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays plus additional shutdown time, and 80 hours of paid sick leave upon hire and annually thereafter.
