market-leading global Air & Sea Freight Forwarder , renowned for delivering complex, time-critical logistics solutions across international supply chains. As part of continued growth within their vertical strategy, they are expanding their

Automotive sector

and are seeking an experienced

Account Director

to lead and grow key client relationships on the West Coast.

The Role The Account Director will be responsible for

owning, developing, and expanding strategic Automotive accounts , acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders while driving revenue growth across Air and Sea freight solutions. This is a senior, client-facing role suited to someone who thrives in a consultative environment and understands the complexity of automotive supply chains, including production, aftermarket, and time-critical movements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow a portfolio of

strategic Automotive clients , with full P&L accountability

Develop long-term relationships with senior decision-makers across OEMs, Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers

Identify and execute

new business opportunities

within existing accounts and target prospects

Lead pricing, contract negotiations, and solution design in collaboration with operations and product teams

Drive Air & Sea freight volumes while promoting value-added and multimodal solutions

Act as the escalation point for key accounts, ensuring service excellence and customer retention

Monitor market trends within the Automotive sector to support strategic growth initiatives

Requirements

Proven experience in

Air & Sea Freight Forwarding , ideally within a global forwarder

Strong background managing

Automotive accounts

(OEM, Tier 1, Tier 2, or related supply chains)

Demonstrated success in account growth, revenue development, and client retention

Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating high-value contracts

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Ability to operate autonomously while collaborating across global teams
