The Finance Director is the strategic business partner and financial leader for our solar cell manufacturing plant. This pivotal role steers financial planning, analysis, and operational accounting to drive profitability, optimize costs, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who provides deep financial insight to executive management and leads a high‑performing finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Plant General Manager and senior leadership to provide data‑driven financial analysis and decision support for operational and strategic initiatives.
Develop and manage the plant’s annual operating budget, quarterly forecasts, and long‑range strategic financial plans.
Lead the creation of complex financial models to evaluate capital investments, scenario planning, and business cases.
Operational Cost Management & Accounting
Oversee all cost accounting functions, including establishing standard costs, analyzing production variances (material, labor, overhead), and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and margin improvement.
Ensure a timely, accurate, and efficient month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close process in strict compliance with US GAAP.
Manage and forecast cash flow, working capital (inventory, AP/AR), and capital expenditure (CapEx) approvals.
Controls, Compliance & Team Development
Develop, implement, and maintain a robust internal control environment; ensure readiness for internal and external audits (SOX experience preferred).
Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification highly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, including years in a senior leadership role.
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
Expert‑level knowledge of US GAAP, cost accounting principles (standard costing, variance analysis), and financial modeling.
Proven hands‑on experience with a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, influence senior stakeholders, and communicate complex financial information clearly.
