Position Overview Solvias is seeking a strategic and results-oriented person to lead financial operations and growth initiatives for our U.S. footprint. This role will be located fully onsite at our Research Triangle Park location and report directly to the President of Solvias U.S. This high‑impact leadership role is critical to driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision‑making across our analytical services portfolio, including Biologics, Cell & Gene Therapy, and Small Molecule platforms. Occasional travel may be required, both domestically and internationally, depending on evolving business needs.
The ideal candidate will oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, and partner closely with commercial and operational teams to optimize profitability and resource allocation. This role will play a key part in shaping financial strategy, managing risk, and enabling scalable growth by leveraging Solvias’ global operational footprint.
Responsibilities
Leading financial planning and analysis (FP&A) for the Company’s U.S. region
Driving strategic initiatives to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
Supporting commercial teams with pricing strategies, margin analysis, and revenue forecasting
Ensuring compliance with U.S. financial regulations and internal controls
Collaborating with local and global finance and scientific experts to align financial goals with business strategy
Managing and leading the U.S. Finance team
Acting as a key financial advisor to executive leadership on U.S. operations
Driving strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
Setting, delivering, and overseeing the overall U.S. budget, including individual budgets for each site/entity
Analyzing financial performance and providing insights to support decision‑making and improve profitability
Overseeing payroll operations across all U.S. entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations (fed, state, and local), and timely processing
Overseeing financial aspects of employee benefits, including 401(k) plan administration, in collaboration with HR and external providers
Establishing and documenting standardized financial processes and internal controls across U.S. entities
Developing and implementing financial policies that align with corporate governance and regulatory requirements
Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting across all U.S. entities
Supporting and leading financial aspects of organizational change, including system implementations and restructuring
Identifying and implementing cost‑saving initiatives and operational improvements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Experience managing multi‑entity financial operations and payroll in the U.S.
Proven track record in policy development and process improvement
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, Power BI)
Other Desired Skills/Abilities
Experience in a CDMO/CRO
Proven experience as a finance leader with change management (site start‑ups, M&A, restructuring initiatives, etc.)
