Description
Mark’s Leisure Time Marine is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Service Writer / Parts & Warranty Administrator to support our growing service department. This role serves as a key link between customers, technicians, manufacturers, and vendors by handling service writing, parts coordination, and warranty administration. The ideal candidate is organized, communicates clearly, and thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Requirements Service Writing & Customer Communication
Greet customers and assist with service intake for marine units
Create, write, and manage service repair orders accurately and efficiently
Clearly document customer concerns, service requests, and technician findings
Provide customers with service updates, timelines, and approvals
Explain warranty coverage, service recommendations, and repair costs in a professional manner
Close out repair orders and assist with billing and customer follow-up
Warranty Administration
Verify warranty eligibility and coverage prior to repairs
Prepare, submit, and track manufacturer warranty claims
Communicate with manufacturers regarding claim status, approvals, or denials
Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty policies and procedures
Maintain accurate warranty documentation and records
Parts Coordination
Order, receive, and track parts required for service repairs
Coordinate parts availability with service scheduling and technicians
Maintain accurate parts records within the dealership management system
Communicate with vendors and manufacturers regarding parts availability and returns
Administrative Support
Maintain organized service files and digital records
Assist service management with reporting, invoicing, and documentation
Support overall service department workflow and efficiency
