GENERAL SUMMARY Portfolio Manager ("PM") is responsible for maintaining and monitoring given commercial loan portfolio and working closely with the Senior Relationship Manager (SRM) who owns the relationship with these accounts. The PM must keep close contact with clients, leveraging the relationship to identify and bring in new business opportunities in loans and other bank products and services. The PM is expected to provide "best‑in‑class" service to these loan clients while following established bank policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Work closely with SRMs and team managers to monitor and manage the credit quality of the assigned loan portfolio.

Ensure each credit is properly risk‑rated based on the bank’s risk rating system.

Maintain and grow existing client relationships, cross‑sell bank products and services.

Accountable for credit underwriting and origination of new credits from the existing client base, portfolio monitoring, renewals, amendments, and annual reviews.

Collaborate with underwriters, loan assistants and other support staff to prepare the Credit Commitment Report ("CCR").

Review client accounts and portfolios to identify Horizonte, evaluate and determine appropriate actions on potential credit quality issues, maximizing credit quality and minimizing risk and loss.

Ensure compliance with bank, regulatory and credit requirements with an emphasis on best‑in‑class customer service while meeting required timeframes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: U.S. college graduate with a major in a related field, strongly preferred.

Experience:

5–7 years of loan account relationship management, credit underwriting experience or a combination of both.

Strong loan portfolio management experience.

Strong loan negotiation experience (rates, terms, collateral requirements).

Previous underwriting experience in commercial lending.

Extensive knowledge of bank credit policy, risk management, underwriting requirements, and loan servicing.

Knowledge and understanding of commercial and specialty group banking products and services with demonstrated cross‑selling ability.

Skills/Ability: PC proficiency; excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (English/ Mandarin or Cantonese) is a plus but not required. Ability to work independently to restructure loans and/or lines of credit. Organized, detail‑oriented, able to multi‑task. Effective in a fast‑paced, high‑production team environmentensky. Excellent time management skills and accustomed to working with deadlines. Ability to assume responsibility and accountability for decision‑making. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of bank personnel.

OTHER DETAILS $95K – $135K per year. Pay determined based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
