Base Pay Range $18.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Responsibilities

Be a Team Member – Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources. Communicate effectively, develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service, be flexible to the needs of the business, track goods, maintain in‑stock levels and control shrinkage.

Be an Expert – Maintain an in‑depth knowledge of the various types and seasonality of different meat products, equipment usage and back‑room operations. Provide meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications (e.g., cutting, slicing, grinding and wrapping). Ensure compliance with food‑safety standards, sanitation guidelines and inventory management. Operate, maintain and sanitize equipment.

Be a Techie – Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training and product quality with the member in mind. Adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.

Be an Owner – Drive business results, ensuring commitment to operational excellence. Plan for profitability, maintain a work area according to company policies and procedures, and ensure quality and standards for high‑volume meat products. Eliminate waste, secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise, assist members with purchasing decisions, and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled and stored.

Be a Talent Ambassador – Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member’s experience in the meat area. Model high‑quality service and products, execute basics at the highest possible level of quality, interact with associates to understand roadblocks, and assist in training them to perform job‑related duties as assigned.

Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data and resources while collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners. Identify priorities, deadlines and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; adapt to and learn from change, difficulties and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $25.00*

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Must successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired.

Preferred Qualifications

Meat Processing Area experience.
