Job Description
Insight Global is hiring a Director of Business development for a rapidly growing data annotation start-up in San Francisco. This organization offers data services to clients in various industries to help build smarter, safer, and more aligned AI systems by providing high-quality, human‑annotated data and tools for data monetization. As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing strategic opportunities with enterprise clients in the AI/ML space.
Responsibilities
Train and develop a high performing sales team
Develop standards and KPI's for said sales team
Drive total business development strategy alongside COO
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with enterprise and strategic clients
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
Negotiate partnership terms, contracts, and pricing to ensure win‑win outcomes
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to tailor solutions for client needs
Stay ahead of industry trends to spot emerging opportunities and inform business strategy

Skills and Requirements
5+ YOE business development, strategic partnerships, or enterprise sales in tech/AI
B2B tech sales background with large companies
Interest and curiosity in AI/LLM industry
Executive presence
Experience building and managing sales team from the ground up
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills. Experience with larger ticket sales, generating multi‑millions in revenue
Experience in SAND field (Semantic Annotation of Numeric Data in Web Tables)
B2B sales experience for Data/AI company (Becomes requirement for Lead position) – existing network
