About the role
Role overview:
Global Sales Strategy & Operations is a division within Gartner tasked with increasing the 5,000+ sales force productivity by partnering with stakeholders across the business to design and implement innovative solutions that meet client retention and growth goals and deliver strong returns on resource investment. The team focuses on driving analytical, technology, and process improvement solutions to address Gartner's challenges. This role sits on the Territory Planning & Analytics (TP&A) team within Global Sales Strategy & Operations, partnering with senior leaders to develop and support the optimal territory investment, design, and alignment strategy to maximize sales and service productivity and make it easy for sales to sell. The role applies analytics and financial modeling to large data sets to derive actionable insights, working with the Territory Design and Data Science teams to inform investment decisions, go-to-market strategy, and improve seller experience. Work very closely with senior sales leaders as a key partner to enable sales territory viability and equity Drive and present analyses to shape decisions on go-to-market and territory design strategy for a global Salesforce Apply financial cash flow modeling and business analytics to develop forward-looking projections of potential business decisions and the resulting impact Deconstruct the performance and composition of individual sellers and their teams, using internal and external data to identify trends and opportunities Collaborate cross-functionally with internal partners across Territory Design, Data Science, Finance, HR, People Analytics and more to facilitate implementation of project outcomes, streamline processes, and improve communication Facilitate the structure and transparency of intended territory composition and attributes to sellers across the organization Project manage multiple initiatives across the team\'s evolving roadmap What you will need
9+ years of experience, ideally focusing on Corporate Strategy, Analytics or Consulting Practical, intuitive problem solver with the ability to translate business objectives into quantitative analysis to drive actionable business strategies Proven ability to influence and negotiate with senior leaders across various business units to advance project initiatives Strong skills in performing and presenting financial analysis, valuation, and financial modeling Exceptional analytical skills, including expertise in Microsoft Excel and relational databases, with the ability to convey complex analyses through effective data storytelling Team player who collaborates well and helps get things done Adaptable and quick learner who excels in fast-paced environments Organized and detail oriented; proactive about documenting work and implementing new features cleanly Proactive in identifying opportunities to solve problems using innovative methods that impact the business Operates with a minimal viable product (MVP) mindset and can adapt as data and requirements evolve What you will get
