
Position Overview:
Shields Health Solutions is hiring a
Senior Data Analyst
to turn data into decisions and operational outcomes. Reporting to the Director of Financial Systems & Analytics, you will collaborate directly with executives and functional leaders to identify performance opportunities, design KPI frameworks, and deliver automated reporting and dashboards (Tableau, SQL, Excel, Python) that drive measurable improvements in efficiency, revenue, and experience. You will own the roadmap for select analytics products, proactively recommend process and workflow changes, and standardize cross‑functional measurement. This role is highly visible and ideal for a strategy‑minded analyst who enjoys translating insight into action.
The ideal candidate will have ample business intelligence experience, is a capable communicator, possesses expert-level Tableau and SQL skills, and is experienced with Excel and Python.
Representative Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Partner with functional leaders to uncover and capture opportunities to improve organizational efficiency
Develop & maintain Tableau and Excel reporting using Tableau, Tableau Prep, SQL, and Excel
Leverage SQL to develop tables in the enterprise data warehouse
Proactively identify and make recommendations for enhancements / modifications to business processes, reporting, and how the business leverages information
Develop cross-platform and automated reporting to drive more insightful and automated analysis
Proactively identify and communicate new or enhancements to existing reports, metrics, and analyses to measure and track business performance
Become a subject matter expert and make recommendations for proprietary, internally used software to impact tracking of financial information necessary to drive business results
Develop and maintain technical documentation to describe and memorialize information with respect to systems, reporting or data
Troubleshoot reporting and process issues, test and work with business to resolve any issues
Skills and Position Requirements:
5+ years of experience as data or business intelligence analyst, developer, or engineer
3+ years of developing reporting and data processes using Tableau, SQL, and Tableau Prep
Expertise in communicating insight and technical processes to non-technical and executive audiences
Advanced data modeling skills
Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience in owning reporting products and driving development projects
Must be a highly motivated, results-driven professional with an entrepreneurial attitude who can thrive in a team-oriented environment
Growth-oriented and positive and problem-solving mindset
Highly analytical with strong attention to detail; methodical thinker
Effective at multi-tasking; someone who enjoys and thrives wearing multiple hats at once, seeks exposure to different perspectives, and learning new skills

Experience with Python, R, NetSuite, or OpenAir a plus
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in STEM, finance, business administration, or computer science
Advanced degree a plus
Location:
Boston Based
Compensation: An employee in this position can expect a salary rate between $100,000 and $110,000 plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan if applicable. The actual salary will depend on experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law.
