Senior Tax Manager / Tax Director

Position Overview The Senior Tax Manager / Director will lead complex tax engagements, serve as a trusted advisor to closely held businesses and high‑net‑worth individuals, and mentor a growing tax team. The role can be tailored based on experience and interest, with a clear path to expanded leadership and equity consideration for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and review complex federal and multi‑state tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and high‑net‑worth individuals
Serve as the primary tax advisor to a portfolio of clients, providing proactive planning and consulting
Lead and mentor tax managers, seniors, and staff; contribute to talent development and retention
Oversee engagement economics, workflow, and deadlines to ensure high‑quality client service
Participate in firm initiatives related to growth, process improvement, and practice development
Assist with business development efforts and deepen existing client relationships
Qualifications
CPA required (Master’s in Taxation a plus)
8+ years of public accounting tax experience, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role
Strong technical background in pass‑through entities and closely held businesses
Experience with client‑facing advisory and tax planning
Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple engagements
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
