We’re partnering confidentially with a fast-growing engineering-led organization to appoint an
Engineering Director . This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of
electrical engineering, control systems, and mechanical integration , and who enjoys building and scaling high-performance engineering teams.
You’ll play a key role in shaping engineering strategy, technical standards, and delivery across complex electromechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and scale a multidisciplinary engineering team (Electrical, Controls, Mechanical).
Own technical direction across electrical systems, controls architecture, and mechanical integration.
Oversee design and delivery of complex engineered systems from concept through production.
Act as the technical authority across electrical controls, switchgear, panels, and system integration.
Collaborate closely with operations, manufacturing, and senior leadership.
Drive engineering best practice, process improvement, and technical governance.
Strong foundation in
Electrical Engineering
with deep exposure to
control systems .
Solid understanding of
mechanical design as it relates to electrical systems .
Proven experience leading engineering teams in an industrial or infrastructure environment.
Industry experience within
switchboards, control panels, data centers, industrial automation , or a closely related sector.
Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on when required.
