Join Our Team as a Director of Engineering! The Director of Engineering is responsible for overseeing the property's facilities maintenance function, ensuring efficient operation, maintenance, service, and repair of all equipment. The Director of Engineering is a skilled leader with technical expertise in engineering and maintenance.
Key Skills/Responsibilities
Leadership and Supervision: Direct and supervise the Maintenance staff, overseeing the maintenance of buildings and grounds.
Technical Expertise: Apply extensive experience in engineering, maintenance and related fields to ensure efficient operations.
Problem-Solving and Decision Making: Evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately, handling problems effectively in high-pressure situations.
Communication Skills: Convey information and ideas clearly and effectively, listen to and understand issues raised by co-workers and guests.
Financial Acumen: Work with and understand financial information and data, including basic arithmetic functions to support maintenance operations.
Project Management: Develop and implement policies and procedures for maintenance requests, schedule maintenance and ensure compliance with regulations.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in a related field, including prior management experience.
Experience in a hotel or related field is required, with a trade license preferred.
