Value Creation Hiring for the Food & CPG Sector Food Manufacturing | Private Equity‑Backed Environment
This is a leadership role for an operations executive who thrives in value‑creation environments.
The business is a well‑established food manufacturing operation backed by private equity investors, entering a phase of disciplined growth, operational maturity, and margin expansion. The mandate is clear: stabilize, optimize, and scale.
The Opportunity As Plant Director, you will have full site accountability and play a central role in the broader value‑creation plan.
This is not a “keep the lights on” role. You will be expected to elevate performance across safety, quality, cost, service, and people, while building systems that stand up to investor scrutiny.
You will partner closely with senior leadership and PE stakeholders, translating strategy into execution on the plant floor and ensuring the site is positioned for sustained EBITDA growth.
Key Responsibilities
Full ownership of site performance: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Engagement
Lead operational improvement initiatives tied directly to value creation and EBITDA impact
Drive productivity, labor optimization, waste reduction, and yield improvement
Build and develop a strong leadership bench across operations, engineering, and quality
Implement and standardize KPIs, daily management, and performance rhythms
Prepare the site for growth, integration, and potential future transactions
Act as a credible, data‑driven operator in PE and Board‑level discussions
The Ideal Profile
Proven Plant Director / Senior Operations Leader within food or CPG manufacturing
Track record in private equity‑backed or investor‑led environments
Experience leading transformation, not just steady operations
Strong commercial and financial acumen; understands how plant decisions impact P&L
Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to professionalize and scale teams
Comfortable operating with pace, accountability, and limited ambiguity
Why This Role
Clear value‑creation mandate with visibility to senior leadership and investors
Opportunity to leave a tangible operational legacy
Platform business with growth ambitions rather than short‑term firefighting
Competitive compensation aligned to impact and outcomes
Rewards Salary - Circa 200-240k + Bonus + equity + Benefits
