Overview
In-House Commercial Contracting Attorney (Full-Time, Hybrid – Nashville, TN, Contract Engagement). Are you a seasoned business attorney with a strong background in commercial contracting? Latitude is partnering with one of Nashville’s premier corporate legal departments to recruit a full-time, in-house Corporate Attorney on an engagement basis. In this role, you’ll take the lead on a wide range of commercial contracting matters, including reviewing, negotiating, and drafting agreements such as NDAs, MSAs, customer agreements, and IT and technology licenses. You’ll also work closely with business stakeholders, providing practical, business-focused guidance on contract-related issues that impact day-to-day operations. Experience with SaaS and technology-driven contracts is a plus. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience advising business clients on commercial contracts and will be comfortable serving as a trusted legal partner to internal teams. This opportunity is well-suited for attorneys seeking to transition into an in-house environment while building strong relationships within a sophisticated and well-regarded corporate legal team. The position is hybrid, with three days onsite at the client’s Nashville offices and two days remote. Candidates must be based in the Nashville, TN area and available to work a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities
Reviewing, negotiating, and drafting commercial agreements, including NDAs, MSAs, customer agreements, and IT licenses.
Provide practical, business-focused guidance on contract issues that impact day-to-day operations.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to support commercial objectives in a compliant manner.
Serve as a trusted legal partner to internal teams in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
8+ years of contracting experience.
Extensive experience reviewing, negotiating, and drafting NDAs, MSAs, customer agreements, and IT licenses.
Broad-based experience counseling businesses on a wide range of issues.
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
Impeccable time-management, attention to detail, professional judgment, and communication skills.
Licensed to practice law in Tennessee (in-house) and in good standing.
Strong professional references.

Compensation & Benefits Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $150,000 to $180,000. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference. Benefits: In addition to pay, Latitude provides complimentary professional liability insurance coverage for work within a Latitude-authorized engagement. Eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD, and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401(k) plan is available. Latitude Attorneys on contract engagements receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
