Director of Finance Open to relocation candidates - assistance can be discussed Why It’s Worth Your Time This is a rare opportunity for a leadership opportunity at a well established premier private golf and country club located just northeast of Nashville. The club is in a growth phase — operating across two campuses with over 1,000 members and preparing for major expansions, including a new clubhouse opening and the transformation of an event-driven venue. You’ll join a leadership team that values both excellence and hospitality, where your work directly supports a first-class member experience and a thriving operation. Culture: This is a group of "hospitality heart" folks with a true serving mentality. They want their guests to have the best experience possible and it starts with the people on the ground level. This role is for a Controller who is adaptable, has a can-do attitude and gets along with everyone acting as a true partner to help all departments be successful. What You’ll Own Oversee all accounting operations, including GL, monthly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting processes across multiple facilities Supervise and mentor a small accounting team (AP and AR) Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP Partner with leadership on financial planning, capital projects, and long-term budgeting Lead payroll, AP, and AR process improvements, including automation initiatives and new systems integration Serve as a strategic advisor to the COO and leadership team on financial insights, KPIs, and operational improvements Must-Haves Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA or CMA preferred) Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience, ideally within a private club, luxury resort, or high end hospitality setting Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices Hands-on leadership style with the ability to mentor staff and collaborate across departments Proven ability to manage full-cycle accounting and produce timely, accurate reports Comfort with technology-driven process improvements Ability to present to board / ownership groups Nice to Have Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Automate for AP) or other systems integrations Experience with financial software such as ClubEssential, Jonas, or NorthStar (training available) Proficiency in ADP payroll Seniority level:
