designed to groom you for a Tax Manager leadership role as our practice continues to scale. Key Responsibilities Complex Tax Compliance:
Personally prepare and manage the lifecycle of returns for Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) individuals and complex entities, including S-Corps, C-Corps, Partnerships (Form 1065), and Trusts (Form 1041). Estate & Gift Strategy:
Support wealth transfer objectives by assisting with the preparation and filing of Estate (Form 706) and Gift (Form 709) tax returns. Quality Control & Review:
Serve as the primary "gatekeeper" and technical reviewer, ensuring absolute compliance with federal and state laws before final Partner sign-off. Proactive Planning:
Perform year-round tax projections and analysis, identifying opportunities for Roth conversions, loss harvesting, and charitable planning. Systems & Workflow:
Help define internal workflows and oversee the implementation of tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, Holistiplan) to optimize departmental efficiency. Qualifications Experience:
4–7 years of progressive tax experience, with a heavy emphasis on UHNW individuals and flow-through entities. Certification:
Active CPA license is required. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a Master’s in Taxation is highly preferred. Technical Proficiency:
Mastery of Forms 1040 and 1065 is essential; proficiency with Form 1041 is preferred. Autonomy:
Proven ability to manage complex deadlines and client data gathering with minimal daily supervision.
