Director, FP&A | PE-Backed Industrial Manufacturing Company
A rapidly growing, private equity-backed industrial manufacturing business is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to join its leadership team. This role will report directly to the CFO and partner closely with executive leadership and the sponsor group to drive performance, scale operations, and support future acquisitions.
Based in the Midwest, this company operates a multi-site footprint across the US and Canada and serves customers across industrial, logistics, infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing end markets.
The Opportunity
The Director, FP&A will play a central role in shaping financial strategy, building scalable reporting infrastructure, and driving EBITDA growth through rigorous analytics and decision support. This is a highly visible position with exposure to the Board, lenders, and private equity investors. Key responsibilities include: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes Build and enhance KPI dashboards and executive reporting packages Deliver customer-level profitability analysis and pricing insights Conduct scenario modeling and what-if analyses Support M&A diligence, valuation modeling, and post-acquisition integration Partner with operations and technology teams to automate reporting and improve data visibility Prepare Board materials, lender reporting, and monthly close analytics Establish performance cadence with functional leaders and drive accountability Ideal Background
8 to 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience Prior experience in a PE-backed environment strongly preferred Exposure to transaction services, investment banking, or deal advisory a plus Strong financial modeling and analytical rigor Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills ERP and BI systems experience Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with senior leaders and Boards Education
BS in Finance or Accounting required MBA or CPA preferred Personal Attributes
