Summary of the Job The Director of Finance, Wealth is accountable for partnering with assigned business unit management on a day‑to‑day financial management strategy, reporting and processes.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this position leads efforts to support management by providing analysis to senior leaders and their management teams on their operating results, and working with them to identify areas of efficiency. The role explains variances to plan, communicates accounting implications of various decisions, and identifies management reporting needs to assist the business in achieving its goals. This role has a primary focus on the Wealth Management business line and thus requires industry knowledge in the wealth and investments space and should utilize that knowledge to participate in strategic priorities of that management team.
Responsibilities Financial Strategy
Develop, refine, and execute the financial strategy of the Bank in alignment with overall organizational goals.
Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Collaborate with the CFO to ensure financial strategies comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Complete comprehensive budgets and forecasts for assigned business units in alignment with the long‑term strategy of the Bank.
Reporting
Oversee the preparation and distribution of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and key performance indicators.
Implement and maintain robust financial reporting systems to provide actionable insights to senior management.
Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant financial data and ensure accuracy in reporting.
Performance Management
Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate the financial performance of the Bank.
Work closely with department heads to analyze performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, cost‑effectiveness, and overall financial performance.
Risk Management
Collaborate with risk management teams to assess and mitigate financial risks.
Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends affecting financial risk, and ensure the Bank's financial strategies are adaptive and compliant.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
CPA or CFA certification is highly desirable.
Proven experience (5+ years) in a finance role within the banking or financial services sector.
In‑depth knowledge of wealth management operations, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
Compensation Base pay range: $95,857.00–$162,957.00.
This role may have a specific starting pay within this range. Final compensation offer may vary upon work experience, education, and skill level.
Work Environment The incumbent will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in‑person collaboration three days a week with remote flexibility two days a week. Work location may change based on business needs.
