Qstar Capital is seeking a Content Strategist to partner with Founder and Managing Partner Alec Litowitz on the intellectual architecture, research development, and external expression of his ideas across core media modalities including book-related content, public talks, newsletters, and strategic communications. This role is designed for a highly intelligent, research-driven thinker capable of understanding and synthesizing complex concepts, and helping convert dense intellectual material into clear, compelling output.
This is not a traditional marketing role; it requires someone with deep intellectual bandwidth who can serve as a research partner, content synthesizer, and strategic communicator.
Overview
Key Responsibilities Intellectual Research & Concept Development
Conduct deep research on cognitive science, adaptivity theory, AI, biology, neuroscience, psychology, , history, anthropology, and related disciplines. Surface, pressure-test, and connect ideas across domains, translating raw ideas, memos, analogies and conceptual fragments into structured arguments. Evaluate external content and identify insights, gaps, or misframings others might miss. Content Strategy & Narrative Architecture. Develop outlines, talking points, and frameworks for: TED-style talks, Podcast appearances, Executive presentations, Public essays, and Newsletter strategy and thematic roadmap ("10 things Alec should write about"). Assist in productizing core ideas for various audiences—investors, executives, academic readers, and general audiences. Manuscript Alignment & Consistency
Perform intellectual coherence and conceptual integrity checks across book manuscripts and thought leadership by ensuring: terminology accurately reflects Alec’s mental models, analogies are placed appropriately, and arguments remain logically and structurally consistent throughout various chapters. Distribution Mapping & Audience Positioning
Partner with PR and publication teams to determine: how ideas should be sequenced, which themes resonate with which audiences, and where Alec’s voice fits in the broader intellectual landscape. Shape the “public version” of the work in a way that maintains integrity without drifting into “generic” thought-leader performance. Strategic Communications Support
Prepare working memos, concept briefs, or summaries , collaborating closely with a writer and Alec to inform letters, events, or conversations with institutional partners. Help refine or simplify complex scientific or philosophical points for general audiences without diluting accuracy. Ideal Candidate
A rare blend of intellectual depth, research rigor, and conceptual clarity. Someone who can read something and extract insights others would miss; who can synthesize across disciplines; who operates with discretion; and who enjoys shaping ideas at the highest level. Qualifications
Advanced research or analytical background (journalism, economics, philosophy, cognitive science, AI, or related). Strong synthesis and analytical ability, and the ability to collaborate closely with a writing partner to develop polished written outputs. Experience crafting thought leadership or conceptual frameworks for founders, executives, or academics. Ability to translate complex ideas into accessible language without oversimplifying.
