Consultant The Director of Procurement provides strategic leadership and drives optimization and automation initiatives for our procurement operations, contracting, and supplier management while ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, financial goals, and ESG commitments.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership

Optimize and execute a procurement strategy that is aligned with business goals, sustainability objectives, and risk management frameworks

Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities for cost optimization, innovation, and competitive advantage

Drive the evolution of procurement from a cost-control function to a strategic value enabler

Procurement Operations

Support business through the full cycle of sourcing, contracting, and supplier management

Assist in negotiation of high value contracts

Implement AI-driven analytics and digital procurement platforms to optimize spend, automate transactions, and forecast supplier risk

Drive company-wide compliance with procurement policies, governance structures, and compliance frameworks

Oversee category management and spend analytics to ensure efficiency and transparency

Digital Transformation

Optimize our existing procurement tools and champion the adoption of next-generation procurement technologies (AI, predictive analytics, e‑procurement platforms)

Define and track digital KPIs to measure automation, cycle‑time reduction, and spend visibility improvements

Supplier Relationship & Innovation

Support business in building strategic partnerships with key suppliers to drive innovation, resilience, and sustainability

Lead supplier performance reviews

Team Leadership & Development

Lead a high‑performing procurement team with capabilities in analytics, digital tools, category strategy, and relationship management

Foster continuous learning, professional development, and cross‑functional collaboration

Create a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence in execution

ESG & Responsible Sourcing

Integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into procurement decisions and supplier selection

Champion diversity in the supplier base and ensure ethical sourcing practices

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles

Proven success leading digital transformation or procurement modernization initiatives

Experience managing global supplier networks and cross‑functional teams

Demonstrated ability to deliver both cost savings and strategic value (innovation, resilience, sustainability)

Skills & Competencies

Strong strategic and analytical mindset with a deep understanding of data‑driven decision‑making

Expertise in contract negotiation, process optimization, and supplier relationship management

High proficiency with e‑procurement platforms, ERP systems, and analytics tools

Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills

Understanding of ESG principles and sustainable procurement practices

Change leadership — ability to lead transformation in complex organizations

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (master's preferred)

Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or CSCP preferred

Compensation $70 - $90 per hour
