Keeper Security is hiring an experienced Senior Director of Technical Operations to provide executive leadership across our Security Operations Center (SOC) and Network Operations Center (NOC) functions. This is a 100% remote position, with the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the El Dorado Hills, CA or Chicago, IL metro areas.

About the Job As the Senior Director of Technical Operations, you will define and execute a unified operational strategy that brings together infrastructure reliability, network operations, and security response. This role provides senior leadership over SOC and NOC functions, ensuring strong alignment, clear accountability, and coordinated incident response across availability and security domains. You will lead senior managers and directors responsible for day-to-day SOC and NOC execution, while focusing personally on strategy, operational maturity, cross-functional alignment, and executive-level incident leadership.

Responsibilities

Define and execute a unified strategy integrating infrastructure reliability, network operations, and security response

Provide senior leadership and alignment across SOC and NOC management teams

Ensure 24/7 operational readiness, coverage, and coordinated incident response

Establish integrated incident response frameworks, playbooks, and escalation models across SOC and NOC

Partner closely with Engineering, Security, IT, and Compliance leadership to ensure operational excellence

Drive capacity planning, resilience engineering, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives

Oversee vulnerability remediation, patching coordination, and operational security readiness

Ensure operational preparedness for audits, compliance reviews, and business continuity planning

Define and monitor KPIs for availability, security posture, incident resolution, and operational efficiency

Lead executive-level incident response, post-incident reviews, and accountability processes

Communicate operational risk, status, and priorities clearly to executive stakeholders

Requirements

10+ years of experience in technical operations, infrastructure operations, or security operations leadership

5+ years leading SOC and/or NOC organizations in a 24/7, high-availability SaaS or enterprise environment

Strong experience operating cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in regulated or security-sensitive environments

Deep understanding of incident response, observability, and modern operations tooling

Familiarity with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and network monitoring technologies

Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams through complex operational challenges

Strong executive communication skills and sound judgment in high‑pressure situations

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Preferred Qualifications

Experience balancing reliability objectives with minimizing attack surface

Track record of driving automation and operational maturity at scale

Ability to clearly communicate technical risk and operational posture to executive leadership

Background in regulated environments (FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001)
