A rapidly scaling space technology company is searching for a Director of Business Development and Sales to lead commercial growth across satellite operators, manufacturers, and primes. This role is ideal for a hands‑on commercial leader who thrives in building new relationships, driving enterprise sales cycles, and shaping go‑to‑market motion in a high‑growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead new business acquisition across the commercial space ecosystem
Build and manage a strong outbound pipeline through prospecting, networking, and targeted outreach
Drive full‑cycle enterprise deals from first conversation to contract close
Partner with Product, Customer Success, and technical teams to align customer needs with product capability
Execute and refine GTM playbooks and messaging
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings
Key Requirements
5+ years of business development and sales experience within the space industry
Strong understanding and network in the commercial space market (satellite operators, manufacturers, integrators)
Ability to build high‑value relationships and influence executive and technical audiences
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
