Director of Engineering Business Operations, AI Transformation & Innovation This role will serve as the operational bridge between Salesforce Engineering\'s technical vision and our highest-priority customer accounts in the Engineering COO office. This is a highly visible, cross-functional leadership position that blends big-picture strategic planning with the operational rigor necessary to execute complex technology transformations. About You You are a strategic orchestrator who builds high-trust relationships with both internal Engineering leadership and external C-level customer teams. You possess excellent executive presence and communication skills required to influence priorities and drive alignment across global and cross-functional stakeholders. You are comfortable bending effortlessly between the tactical (data analysis) and the strategic (long-term platform vision). You are a catalyst for change, driving an organizational shift toward an AI-first operating model. You build high-trust relationships to secure cross-functional buy-in and action. You have a data-driven mindset and possess solid expertise in leveraging business analytics to drive high-stakes decisions. Your Impact Thought Leadership in Agentic Enterprise: Agentic AI thought leadership from internal engineering deployments; from industry research, collaborating with partners, to strategic execution, your insights would help to set the guidance and direction for the organization to advance in the Agentic Enterprise era across all engineering functions. Growth Initiatives: Act as the orchestrator for key pre-sales and strategic relationships for the engineering leadership team. Prioritize and execute high-value engagements by working directly with Account Teams and the Venture Capital/Private Equity Practice Team to support our partner teams and ecosystem to drive growth for the company. Operational Excellence: Partner with COO, Engineering leadership and other functional leaders to operationalize strategic initiatives. Executive Engagement and Communication: Drive and deliver executive presentations and periodic updates to elevate the business impact of our tech delivery and transformation, specifically targeting C-suite executives to secure their mindshare. Define and Drive AI Strategy: Be the key partner to executive management in defining the strategic vision and roadmap for Agentic AI adoption in Agentic Enterprise, focusing on scalability and financial return. Business Value Realization: Provide strategic insights and business analytical intelligence to guide investment decisions to drive innovation and transformation. Required Skills 10+ years of business and tech experience in management consulting, tech corporate or product strategy, industry research, business strategy roles. 5+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional projects in a technical domain (e.g., Cloud, AI, or Enterprise SaaS preferred). Proven ability to connect with Sales, Customers and Partners to act as a strategic orchestrator for high-stakes strategic discussions and engagements. Deep understanding of AI/Agents concepts, data or infrastructure platforms. Exceptional executive communication and presence, with proven experience synthesizing complex technical and financial data into clear, persuasive narratives for senior leadership. Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills (e.g., ROI analysis, cost-benefit analysis, financial scenario planning). A related technical or business degree required (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or Finance). Preferred Requirements Experience and knowledge with Salesforce tools and products esp Agentforce; Salesforce trailhead and certification. Prior experience in top-tier consulting or investment banking as a bonus. Advanced degrees preferred (Masters, MBAs and etc).
