Overview

The Business Travel Sales Manager is responsible for driving negotiated corporate transient revenue for

Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica , focusing on new business acquisition, account retention, and production growth within the Business Travel segment. This role partners closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations to maximize market share, rate integrity, and long-term account performance.

Responsibilities

Proactively solicit and manage corporate negotiated business travel accounts Execute annual RFP strategies in collaboration with Revenue Management and ADOSM Negotiate, implement, and service corporate preferred rate agreements Grow production from existing accounts while identifying and activating new BT opportunities Conduct ongoing account reviews to ensure rate compliance, pickup, and profitability Monitor Agency360 and other business intelligence tools to track market share and trends Maintain a structured solicitation plan including sales calls, site inspections, agency presentations, and networking events Represent the hotel at industry events, client meetings, and local business forums Maintain strong competitive knowledge and effectively sell against market alternatives Participate in revenue strategy meetings and monthly sales meetings Partner with Operations to ensure seamless execution for business travelers Maintain accurate account details, reporting, and forecasts Provide weekly and monthly business travel reporting to ADOSM Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual business planning efforts

Qualifications

College course work in related field helpful. At least 2 years sales experience in a hotel or a related field preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required. Must be skilled in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing. Long hours sometimes required. Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner. Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests. Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines. Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner. Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings. Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary. Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
