$85.62 – $110.48 – $135.33>This position oversees approximately 275 FTEs in Imaging Services located throughout the Sharp Metropolitan Medical Campus in San Diego. What You Will Do:

This position is responsible for the provision of all imaging services for the respective entity. The director assesses, plans, implements and evaluates all aspects of care and/or programs and ensures their financial viability. The director administers and coordinates clinical services, manages all imaging operations for both inpatient and outpatient settings, and ensures compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory agency guidelines. The director develops business plans, equipment acquisition, material management, budget preparation, statistical reports, and strategic planning and supports the mission and values of Sharp HealthCare. Required Qualifications:

ARRT Certificate – ARRT OR Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) – CA Department of Public Health; AND 5 years clinical experience in medical imaging; AND 3 years of management experience in related field. – REQUIRED OR 7 years clinical experience in medical imaging; AND 5 years of medical imaging management experience. – REQUIRED Essential Functions – Key Responsibilities:

Establishes quality assurance, process improvement and cost containment programs via departmental and interdisciplinary involvement. Responsible for periodic monitoring, timely and accurate reports. Develops quality outcome measures in conjunction with appropriate members of the medical staff for all assigned areas of responsibility, which are reported on an annual basis to the Quality Council. Responsible for maintaining compliance with all aspects of the department policy and procedure plan and ensuring organizational compliance with national, state and local regulation. Participates in hospital-wide committees (Critical Care, Infection Control, Safety, Quality, Interdisciplinary, Risk Management). Works closely with radiologists to ensure open communication. Promotes professional growth of staff through educational programs and monitors licensure and credentialing of staff. Establishes budget, monitors financial performance and engages in operational efficiency initiatives. Responds to patient, employee and staff complaints and conducts customer satisfaction surveys. Develops long-range operational, capital and human resource plans. Maintains safety, infection control and radiation safety standards and ensures compliance with hospital and system regulations. Demonstrates customer service, quality assurance, clinical practice, project development, process improvement, cost containment and professional education. Maintains professional acumen in management functions and expands job-related knowledge and skills to improve performance. Consistently communicates with staff, physicians and patients, resolves problems proactively, builds teams and improves patient satisfaction. Maintains quality patient care and participates in unit and level of care quality assurance. Both improvements and interventions are conducted with multidisciplinary collaboration. Provides education to staff to ensure optimal delivery of tests and mitigates adverse outcomes. Supports and directs staff participation in interdisciplinary meetings. Leads and/or participates on task forces/committees. Provides information and submittal of assigned tasks or projects. Develops programs or performs special projects as directed by leadership. Provides process improvement or cost containment. Maintains operating areas within budget and develops action plans when expenses exceed budget. Ensures productivity at 100%. Contributes to budgeting and ensures compliance throughout the budget year. Provides professional education and clarifies staff performance appraisals and records. Assists staff access to HR services. Enables staff scheduling and staffing. Assures schedule posting. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrates competency in required job responsibilities including leadership, supervision, problem solving, reasoning and communication skills.
