Novaris Behavioral Health is launching a new
adult mental-health-primary Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
in the Charlotte, NC area. We are seeking a
Clinical Director
to serve as a founding leader during launch and early growth.
This role is ideal for an experienced clinician who wants to help
build a high-quality program from the ground up , influence culture and clinical standards, and step into a true leadership position. Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
Provide overall clinical oversight for PHP and IOP services Ensure treatment programming aligns with best practices, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements Oversee clinical documentation, treatment planning, and outcomes tracking Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to therapists and clinical staff Program Development
Help design and refine group programming, schedules, and clinical workflows Support the development of policies, procedures, and clinical protocols Collaborate on census ramp-up strategies and clinical capacity planning Compliance & Accreditation
Ensure compliance with NC DHHS licensing requirements Support accreditation readiness (Joint Commission and/or CARF) Participate in audits, surveys, and quality improvement initiatives as needed Partner closely with executive leadership during launch and early operations Participate in referral-source relationship building when appropriate Help shape a strong, values-driven clinical culture Qualifications
Required
Active, unrestricted clinical license eligible to serve as Clinical Director in North Carolina (e.g., LCSW, LCAS, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist) Minimum
5+ years of clinical experience
in behavioral health Prior experience in
PHP, IOP, or higher levels of care Strong understanding of clinical documentation, risk management, and treatment planning Comfortable operating in a startup or growth-stage environment Preferred
Previous Clinical Director, Assistant Clinical Director, or Program Leadership experience Familiarity with Joint Commission and/or CARF standards Experience helping launch or scale a behavioral health program Role Structure & Compensation
