The Richmond Group USA
Director of Tax | High-Growth Public Company
We are partnered with a recently IPO’d, rapidly expanding manufacturing organization entering its next phase of growth as a public company. The company is investing heavily in infrastructure, governance, and leadership to support continued scale across a complex, multi-state operating footprint.
The Director of Tax will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s U.S. tax strategy during this period of transformation. This leader will own federal, state, and local tax planning and compliance while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on strategic initiatives, transactions, and ongoing expansion.
This is a highly visible role with direct impact on financial performance, risk management, and public-company readiness. The successful candidate will help build scalable tax processes, strengthen controls, and guide the organization through the increased complexity that comes with growth and life as a public entity.
Ideal Profile
Deep expertise in U.S. federal, state, and local tax planning and compliance
Experience operating in a complex, asset-intensive or multi-entity environment
Proven ability to manage audits, advisors, and indirect tax exposure
Strong business acumen with the ability to advise senior leadership on strategic initiatives
Hands-on leader capable of building scalable processes and developing teams
This is an opportunity to step into a career-defining role with a newly public, growth-oriented organization—where leadership, judgment, and execution will directly shape the company’s tax strategy and governance foundation for years to come.
