As
Director of Tax , you’ll lead the design and execution of Trivelta’s global tax strategy across a growing portfolio of entities and jurisdictions. You’ll manage all aspects of tax compliance, reporting, and planning, ensuring we operate efficiently, minimize risk, and meet obligations in every market we serve. This is a hands-on, strategic role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, and is excited to build scalable tax infrastructure from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Lead global tax operations across all Trivelta entities
Oversee income, indirect (Sales and Use/VAT/GST), gaming, and employment tax compliance — ensuring timely and accurate filings in all jurisdictions
Develop and execute international tax planning strategies that optimize global effective tax rate and cash flow
Coordinate with external advisors and local tax partners to manage audits, notices, and compliance matters
Design and implement scalable tax reporting processes and internal controls aligned with growth and regulatory complexity
Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure tax accuracy in monthly closes, consolidations, and financial statements
Lead transfer pricing strategy, documentation, and intercompany policy alignment
Support expansion efforts by advising on tax structuring for new markets, entities, and product launches
Monitor legislative changes and assess impacts on Trivelta’s operating model, particularly in gaming and digital services sectors
Manage tax provision (ASC 740) preparation and review in coordination with the Controller and external auditors
Partner with Legal, HR, and FP&A to ensure tax considerations are embedded in contracts, compensation plans, and forecasts
Drive automation and system integration for tax data management, leveraging ERP (NetSuite) and reporting tools
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA and/or MST strongly preferred)
10+ years of progressive tax experience, including international and multi-entity exposure
Solid understanding of U.S. federal, state, and international tax regimes (OECD, VAT, transfer pricing)
Experience leading or coordinating global compliance in high-growth or technology-driven companies
Strong working knowledge of ASC 740 and financial statement tax reporting
Proven success in building or maturing in-house tax functions (transitioning from outsourced to internal)
NetSuite experience a plus
Excellent project management and process design skills with ability to build from scratch and scale
Collaborative and adaptable communicator who can translate complex tax issues into business terms
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving organization with multiple jurisdictions and regulatory frameworks
