The Director of Finance FP&A will lead the company’s global financial operations and serve as a strategic partner to the executive team. This role will provide financial leadership across all departments, translating consumer behavior and performance, and customer experience insights into strategies that drive profitable growth, margin optimization, and long-term brand value. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on financial leader with deep FP&A expertise and experience supporting an omnichannel business. This candidate resides in Austin, Texas and will be one of the first hires in the new US HQ.

Salary Range $160,000 - $180,000, depending on experience.

Core Responsibilities Strategic Financial Planning and Forecasting

Support the development and implementation of FP&A tools, systems, and processes.

Lead all global financial functions including FP&A, strategic planning, and long‑range forecasting across DTC, wholesale, and retail departments.

Partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to drive enterprise‑level strategy, balancing short‑term performance with long‑term consumer and brand value.

Develop, execute and manage financial strategies to support company growth, international expansion and profitability objectives.

Develop and manage comprehensive financial models that incorporate department‑specific economics, including pricing, margin structure, promotional activity, fulfillment costs, and inventory dynamics.

Provide insight into financial drivers to support decision‑making across global divisions.

Implement best practices for data integrity and process consistency across global teams and to strengthen internal controls and governance to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.

Integrate consumer and digital insights—such as customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, conversion, retention, and sell‑through—into forecast, budgets, and investment decisions.

Support international expansion and department growth strategies with data‑driven financial analysis.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and margin analysis.

Deliver reporting and insights across DTC, wholesale, and retail to clearly articulate performance drivers, risks and opportunities.

Identify trends related to consumer demand, pricing, promotions, and inventory performance that impact profitability and cash flow.

Deliver accurate and insightful global financial report packages for leadership.

Implement standardized global reporting frameworks to ensure consistency, transparency, and comparability across regions and departments.

Performance Monitoring and Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Monitor and report on key operational and financial KPIs across all metrics, including revenue growth, gross margin, contribution margin, inventory turns, returns, and fulfillment efficiency.

Track and evaluate performance versus budgets, forecasts, and strategic goals.

Partner with marketing, e‑commerce, retail, wholesale, operations, and product teams to interpret financial results and support data‑driven decision‑making.

Collaborate with department leaders to assess performance venus plan, evaluate promotional and pricing strategies, and identify opportunities for margin enhancement.

Translate customer experience and consumer behavior metrics into actionable financial insights that inform strategy and resource allocation in partnership with the VP of E‑commerce.

Secondary Responsibilities Team Leadership and Development

Develop and lead a global finance team in collaboration with the executive team to foster collaboration and accountability.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across finance and cross‑functional partners.

Establish clear goals, performance metrics and professional development pathways aligned to the needs of a growing DTC, wholesale and retail business.

Special Projects

Lead or support special projects as assigned, such as expansion analysis, pricing and promotional strategy evaluation, retail and store performance analysis, omnichannel investment cases, and consumer experience initiatives.

Provide financial leadership on initiatives related to customer acquisition, loyalty programs, digital experience enhancements, and retail concepts in partnership with the VP of E‑commerce.

Skills and qualifications Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or other related field; MBA preferred.

Years of experience: 10+ years in FP&A or corporate finance with at least 3‑5 years in a senior leadership role.

Experience supporting an omnichannel consumer businesses, global operations and cross‑border financial reporting, preferably within consumer goods, footwear or retail industries are preferred.

Proven success managing multi‑country finance teams and cross‑border reporting.

Analytical & Technical Skills.

Deep expertise in FP&A and corporate finance.

Strong command of P&L management, cash flow, and profitability analysis.

Advance proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, scenario modeling, macros) and financial software such as NetSuite.

Strong problem‑solving skills with a strategic and detail‑oriented mindset.

Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw actionable insights.

Interpersonal & Leadership Skills

Strong business partner with the ability to influence cross‑functional leaders in marketing, product, e‑commerce, retail, and wholesale.

Comfortable translating complex financial data into clear insights for non‑financial stakeholders.

Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a collaborative, hands‑on approach.

Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working cross‑functionally with other business divisions.
