Job Description Salary: $65,000 – $70,000 per year, plus eligibility for the Omni Sales Incentive Plan. Position requires active solicitation of events such as weddings, galas, corporate, association events, and social parties in the Greater Washington, DC area to exceed revenue goals.

Responsibilities

Direct selling in the Greater Washington, DC stand‑alone catering events market.

Communicate with clients prior to events to initiate, negotiate, and close contracts for all catered events.

Achieve and exceed monthly catering booking goals.

Detail all contracted events within the Catering department, including Banquet Event Orders and Resumes.

Follow up with clients after the event to ensure repeat bookings.

Prospect new client accounts through active prospecting.

Develop profitable menus.

Maximize catering revenues and minimize erosion of check averages from price‑sensitive groups.

Communicate client expectations effectively to all operational departments.

Coordinate catering support services (flowers, entertainment, linens, China, decorations, A/V, etc.) for complete client satisfaction.

Coordinate with hotel areas to resolve issues, complaints, and problems to ensure customer satisfaction.

Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Qualifications

Four‑year bachelor’s degree.

Minimum of five years hotel sales/catering experience in an upscale/luxury environment.

Experience booking weddings and managing leads through popular wedding websites such as Wedding Wire/The Knot.

Proven selling, negotiating, and presentation skills.

Highly developed customer service skills with strong attention to detail.

Dynamic, enthusiastic, creative individual who can perform multiple functions and troubleshoot when needed.

Ability to demonstrate warmth and empathy when engaging with others.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
