Virtus Recruiting is partnered with a diversified, high-growth digital media platform backed by a major public media company to hire an FP&A Director who will sit at the center of planning, forecasting, and performance insight across a portfolio of operating businesses.

About the Role This is a visible, high-trust role for a senior FP&A leader who wants real influence, strong executive access, and a seat at the table where operating and investment decisions are made. The job is a hybrid position and requires 2 days per week in the Midtown Manhattan office, located a short walk from Penn Station.
Responsibilities
Lead portfolio-wide FP&A processes, including forecasting, budgeting, and multi-year planning
Consolidate and analyze financial results across multiple operating entities
Partner with senior leaders to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Support enterprise-level deliverables in coordination with a public-company FP&A team
Prepare executive, earnings-related, and Board-level materials
Develop KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics that actually get used
Own and refine financial models supporting strategy and investment decisions
Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes and tools
Qualifications
8–10+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or advisory experience
Strong background in multi-entity consolidation and portfolio-level analysis
Comfortable in matrixed environments with senior stakeholders
Advanced Excel and executive-level PowerPoint skills
Experience building or upgrading FP&A processes, not just running them
Confident communicator who can both support and challenge leadership
