Our client is seeking a senior infrastructure executive to lead global Core Infrastructure Operations in a highly regulated, mission-critical enterprise. This role owns strategy and execution across network, security, datacenter, cloud, compute, storage, and collaboration platforms, with a strong focus on resiliency, automation, cybersecurity, and modernization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead global infrastructure operations including network engineering & security, virtualization, compute, storage, unified communications, and automation.
Define and execute multi-year infrastructure modernization and resiliency strategies.
Serve as senior incident commander for major infrastructure events.
Manage a multi-million-dollar annual budget and oversee strategic vendors, contracts, and SLAs.
Establish infrastructure standards, governance, and operational best practices.
Drive automation, infrastructure-as-code, and self-service capabilities.
Partner with cybersecurity teams to strengthen risk posture, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.
Provide executive-level reporting on reliability, risk reduction, and operational performance.
Technical Expertise
Enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, routing protocols, SD-WAN, DNS/DHCP/IPAM)
Network and infrastructure security (firewalls, NAC, Zero Trust, SIEM, IDS/IPS)
Datacenter and virtualization platforms (VMware, VDI, compute, storage, backup)
Cloud and hybrid-cloud networking (Azure, ExpressRoute, private connectivity)
Automation and tooling (Python, Ansible, APIs, ServiceNow, CI/CD)
Monitoring, observability, and performance analytics platforms
Qualifications
15+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience with senior leadership responsibility.
Proven success leading global teams in regulated environments.
Deep expertise in enterprise networking, security, datacenter, virtualization, and hybrid cloud (Azure).
Strong experience with automation, monitoring, and ITSM platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; advanced certifications (CCNP/CCSP or equivalent) preferred.
Leadership Profile Decisive, accountable, and calm under pressure, with the ability to translate infrastructure strategy into measurable business outcomes while building high-performing teams.
