We are seeking an experienced
Director of Supply Chain
to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations for a leading aerospace organization. This role will oversee procurement, planning, logistics, and supplier performance with a strong focus on compliance with aerospace and defense regulations. The ideal candidate will have deep experience managing complex supply chains for aircraft components, systems, and assemblies, and a proven ability to drive operational excellence in a highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with aerospace industry standards and government regulations. Lead procurement and sourcing activities for critical aerospace components, ensuring compliance with
FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and AS9100
requirements. Manage supplier relationships, negotiate long-term agreements, and ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards. Oversee demand planning, inventory control, and production scheduling to support aircraft programs and aftermarket services. Implement risk mitigation strategies for global supply chain disruptions, including dual sourcing and supplier diversification. Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging
Lean, Six Sigma , and advanced digital tools. Collaborate with engineering, program management, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of supply chain processes. Support government audits (CPSR) and maintain compliance with export control regulations. Build and mentor a high-performing supply chain team with expertise in aerospace procurement and logistics. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred). 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in aerospace or defense. Strong knowledge of
government contracting, export compliance, and aerospace quality standards . Proven leadership experience managing multi-site or global supply chain operations. Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced analytics tools. Certifications such as
CPSM, CSCP, PMP , or
AS9100 auditor
are a plus.
