Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled

Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager

with deep expertise in

Commercial Real Estate taxation

to join the Dallas office. This is a hybrid role requiring

3 days per week in the office , creating strong collaboration with partners, peers, and staff.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with partnership taxation, real estate fund structures, complex allocations, and transactions. You will manage key client relationships, oversee compliance and planning engagements, and help develop junior team members within a growing real estate practice.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and review complex real estate partnership tax returns, including multi-tier investment structures

Oversee tax planning and compliance for real estate owners, developers, REITs, private equity real estate funds, and property managers

Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, 704(c) issues, 754 step-ups, debt structuring, and other CRE-specific tax matters

Lead engagements, supervise staff, and provide mentorship and technical training

Communicate directly with clients, fund managers, and internal leadership regarding tax issues and strategic planning

Conduct technical tax research and provide insight on complex partnership and real estate taxation topics

Ensure compliance across federal, state, and local jurisdictions

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

5–10+ years of public accounting tax experience , preferably within real estate

Strong technical knowledge of partnership taxation and commercial real estate structures

Experience with real estate funds, REITs, developers, and complex CRE portfolios strongly preferred

Proficiency in major tax software platforms and Microsoft Office
