This role is a hybrid position based in Austin, TX. Candidates must be located in or able to commute to the Austin, Texas office as required. The Director of FP&A is a senior, hands-on financial leader responsible for fully owning all forecasting, budgeting, lender requirements, investor reporting, and financial analysis for the organization. This role requires an individual with an execution mindset who consistently drives work across the finish line, delivers accurate results on time, and takes full accountability. This role is an integral part of the Accounting team and works closely with other accounting staffs, operational department heads, and senior management to support accurate financial reporting, compliance, and decision-making. This position requires advanced and exceptional Excel proficiency, strong leadership maturity, and a high standard of ownership, accuracy, and dependability. The Director of FP&A is expected to proactively manage deadlines, track all deliverables, and serve as the subject-matter expert for their functional areas. Core Responsibilities

Ownership, Accountability & Execution Fully own all FP&A and lender-related deliverables from initiation through completion. Drive work across the finish line, ensuring all deliverables are finalized, reviewed, and submitted on or before deadlines. Proactively manage timelines, follow up on open items, and close-out outstanding requirements without reminders. Take responsibility for outcomes. Serve as the primary subject-matter expert for all FP&A and lender-related questions. Develop and own annual budgets, monthly forecasts, underwriting vs. actual analyses, and long-range projections. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial and investor reporting packages. Perform detailed variance analysis and clearly explain results and trends to leadership. Conduct market analysis and monitor relevant industry trends. Ensure all analyses and reports are complete, accurate, and delivered on time. Develop and maintain portfolio fund models and projections. Oversee semi-annual valuation processes. Lender Requirements & Compliance Own, facilitate, and track all lender requirements end-to-end. Establish and maintain a comprehensive tracking system for all lender deliverables, deadlines, documentation, and follow-ups. Prepare and submit lender reporting packages, covenant calculations, compliance certificates, and draw requests. Monitor covenant compliance on an ongoing basis and proactively identify potential risks. Serve as the primary point of contact for lender requests and inquiries. Ensure all lender obligations are met accurately, completely, and on time. Data Integrity & Technical Excellence Audit & Tax Coordination Maintain exceptional data accuracy and integrity across all reports and models. Collaborate with other accounting staff to ensure alignment with financial reporting standards, controls, and reporting requirements. Serve as the primary owner and point of contact for auditor and tax preparer requests related to FP&A, lender reporting, and financial analysis areas. Track, manage, and fulfill all audit and tax-related requests within assigned areas accurately and on time. Proactively coordinate with auditors, tax preparers, internal teams, and third party consultants to resolve questions and close open items efficiently. Continuously improving processes and reporting efficiency. Leadership & Team Management

Manage, mentor, and develop team members. Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for accuracy, quality, and timeliness. Lead by example with strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism. Foster a culture of ownership, care for employees, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required). Minimum of 5 years of progressive FP&A experience. Minimum of 2 years of people management experience. Advanced Excel skills (expert-level). Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis. Genuine care for and respect for co-workers and others Public accounting experience strongly preferred. Strong ownership mentality with consistent follow-through. Highly dependable and deadline driven. Detail-oriented with pride in accuracy. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on time. Leadership maturity and focus on mastering the current role. Strong work ethic and commitment to full workdays and core business hours.
