City of Hope’s growing national system includes its Los Angeles campus, a network of clinical care locations across Southern California, a new cancer center in Orange County, California, and cancer treatment centers and outpatient facilities in the Atlanta, Chicago and Phoenix areas.
The successful candidate: The Finance Director is a strategic leader who partners closely with executives, department heads, and clinical leadership across City of Hope Chicago—including the Comprehensive Cancer and Research Center and regional Outpatient Care Centers. This role is responsible for developing business cases and analyses that guide informed investments, strategic planning, and operational decision‑making to ensure the organization’s financial goals are achieved.
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30am - 5:00pm
Location Zion, IL. This position to be fully onsite.
Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Accounting, or a related field (required)
Minimum Experience 5 years of progressive finance management experience in a hospital or similar environment
Preferred Education Master’s degree in Finance, Healthcare, Business, or a related field
CPA certification
Preferred Experience At least 2 years in an executive‑level, senior finance, or senior accounting role
Software Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Working knowledge of Tableau

Compensation Details City of Hope employees pay is based on the following criteria: work experience, qualifications, and work location.
This position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
