Overview We are looking for a highly motivated sales professional to join our North America sales team. As a Territory Sales Manager, you will sell, promote, and demonstrate the RIDGID & Greenlee lines of tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will reside in the Houston, TX area. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager for the Southwest Region. You will offer unique perspectives and insights to the way customers view their business, align insights and priorities, and tie those insights back to Emerson Professional Tools’ product differentiators. You will drive two-way communications, clearly articulate our value proposition, and engage the end-customer in addressing their business priorities. The role includes defining and implementing sales plans, tracking economic drivers and industry activity, and understanding the implications on customers’ business, including new business opportunities.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

Accountable for the direction, coordination, and growth of all utility market sales through direct customer contact and coordination with local ProTools Territory Managers.

Operate in a matrix-managed environment, providing coaching and direction to regional Territory Managers.

Perform field product demonstrations, training, and technical support with end-users and distribution channel partners; drive strategic new product sales and solutions to expand markets and share.

Develop, present, and execute annual business plans to deliver incremental sales growth.

Develop and manage a monthly/yearly sales forecast.

Develop and own relationships with Key Distributor Partners and End Users.

Act as the subject matter expert for the product, applications, and pricing program for the given market.

Support regional and national organizations through training and special projects execution.

For This Role, You Will Need

Experience with distribution channels, with emphasis on Electrical, Industrial, and Plumbing.

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Industrial Distribution, or related disciplines; OR minimum of five years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Demonstrated success in formulating, presenting, executing, and measuring a Territory Business Plan to deliver incremental sales growth.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in performing field product demonstrations, training, and troubleshooting with end users and distribution.

Ability to drive strategic new product sales and solutions to expand markets and share.

Experience developing and managing a monthly/yearly sales forecast.

Proven track record of achieving goals and sales targets.

Experience developing and owning relationships with Key Distributor Partners and End Users.

Subject matter expert for product, applications, and pricing program for the market.

Experience supporting regional and national organizations through training and special initiative execution.

Ability to build and monitor merchandising displays at key distributor channel partner locations.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart

Five years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or technical support of B2B sales preferred.

Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; CRM experience a plus.
