Brownsburg Health Care Center
is seeking an experienced, certified Activities Director to lead and oversee our recreational and life-enrichment programs. This role is ideal for someone who brings energy, creativity, and leadership to a long-term care environment and enjoys building meaningful connections with residents.
You will be responsible for assessing resident interests, planning engaging programs, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations—while creating a fun, vibrant atmosphere for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
Assess resident needs, interests, and abilities to develop individualized activity programs
Plan, organize, and implement group and individual recreational activities
Lead programs including arts & crafts, music, games, outings, religious, educational, and social events
Develop, post, and maintain the monthly activity calendar
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
Complete and maintain required activity documentation
Maintain resident precautions and limitations lists
Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers
Lead or participate in Resident Council meetings as needed
Coordinate activities that involve families, staff, and the community
Manage activity supplies, budgets, and receipts
Supervise and support the Activities Assistant(s)
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Activities Certification (required or preferred per state guidelines)
Minimum of 2 years of long-term care (LTC) experience (required)
At least 1 year of experience planning and conducting social or recreational programs
Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Enthusiastic, creative, and resident-focused approach
