Crossover
Regional Director of Family Engagement, Alpha - $200,000/year USD
Crossover, Houston, Texas, United States, 77246
Overview
LOCATION NOTE: This position requires on-site work in one of the cities listed below, with local travel as required. Relocation support is provided for candidates who have confirmed relocation plans and timelines.
You excel in fast-moving startup environments. You've delivered exceptional service to high-net-worth clients who demand excellence. You hold a genuine conviction that AI can transform education and welcome the opportunity to defend that conviction against doubt. If these conditions create discomfort, this position will not be a fit.
Alpha is not a conventional school. We are a technology startup demonstrating that every child possesses exceptional potential. Our students complete their core academic work in two hours daily through AI-driven applications, dedicating the remainder of their time to practical competencies: public speaking, analytical thinking, collaborative challenges, and meaningful projects. No traditional lectures. No redundant assignments. Only accelerated mastery and performance in the top 1% nationally. Families expect personalized, concierge-quality service. You will regularly address concerns about screen exposure, skepticism toward non-traditional models, and disbelief that outcomes this strong are achievable.
During the initial launch phase (year zero through year one), this functions as an enrollment sales position. You control the complete pipeline from initial inquiry through executed enrollment contract, with defined conversion benchmarks and CRM oversight. We will not launch a campus without securing at least 25 enrolled students. Meeting that enrollment threshold is your accountability. You will facilitate compelling information sessions, lead individualized campus tours, maintain persistent follow-up, and close enrollments. After reaching 25 students and bringing on an admissions director, your role transitions to serving as the campus's lead parent-facing authority. You will cultivate loyalty, address concerns with exceptional service standards, and convert satisfied families into vocal advocates who actively recruit others.
This is a high-autonomy, high-accountability position with transparent expectations. You will operate independently without extensive administrative infrastructure, marketing resources, or fully documented procedures. Strategy adapts according to performance data. Systems are still forming. You will create them. The majority of your time will be spent in the community (networking lunches, coffee conversations, Chamber events) rather than at a desk. You will maintain visibility during morning arrival and afternoon departure times. Evening parent gatherings and occasional weekend student programming are part of your schedule. A single misaligned family within a cohort of 25 can disrupt the entire community, so declining wrong-fit applicants is as critical as enrolling ideal ones.
The opportunity? You will observe changes most educators never witness: doubtful parents transforming into passionate advocates, reserved students presenting with poise to adult audiences, families selecting your campus over established elite institutions. You will create something from the ground up and control the outcome.
If you believe traditional schooling is failing children and a superior alternative exists, this is your opportunity to demonstrate it.
