We are seeking a Territory Sales Manager to grow our Air Pollution Control (APC) market share in the Portland territory and surrounding area. This is a Business-to-Business sales position targeting executives along with director level decision makers, engineers, contractors and end users in the industrial sector providing dust collection equipment and systems.
SUMMARY:
Supplies Air Pollution Control and dust collection equipment to various industries. The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for territory-based sales of dust and mist collection equipment with a focus on attaining and exceeding sales goals through outbound prospecting calls and territory management.
OBJECTIVE:
Territory based sales position selling Air Pollution Control (APC) equipment via direct sales or reseller opportunities. The main objective is to increase sales in a sustainable and profitable manner and will be reporting to the Regional Manager of the area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop business for air pollution equipment in the Portland territory and surrounding area
Develop rep/reseller, engineering firm and installing contractor base relationships for higher levels of business potential
Manages company provided leads
System design, including coordination with manufacturers/vendors for system component selection and features.
Project management for turnkey sales and follow through for equipment sales
On-site system commissioning and customer training
Business to business sales opportunities only
Interacts with customer base and work to build relationships with potential customers
Provides support to resellers in territory made up of sales representatives, dealers, distributors and original equipment manufacturers
Interacts with other departments, working as a team to provide our customers with excellent service
REQUIREMENTS:
Positive attitude, sense of urgency, competitive
Excellent time management skills
Good verbal/language skills
Mechanical aptitude
Industrial Equipment sales experience (Filtration industry experience – a plus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Comfortable, friendly and professional on the phone and in person
Team-oriented self-starter who works well in fast-paced environment
Design software experience (ex. CAD, SolidWorks, etc.) – a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
