Job Skills / Requirements
We are looking for a responsible day porter to maintain our client’s facility. It is important for a day porter to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning, and tidying the premises. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a day porter role focused on building upkeep. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative in day porter maintenance jobs. Must be able to pass a background check. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day Trash removal and dusting surfaces Daily sweeping and mopping of all tiled floors Daily vacuuming of all carpeted areas Daily wipe-down of all table, counters, and surface areas Deep cleaning of restrooms Daily cleaning of break room area Ensure that interior glass surfaces are kept clean Manage inventory of stocked items (toilet paper, paper towels, other misc. supplies) Daily monitoring of any items or areas that need to be cleaned Report all potential hazards to the Manager immediately. Skills Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role Knowledge of use and maintenance of commercial cleaning equipment Attention to detail and conscientiousness High school diploma is preferred but not required English is preferred but not required Must be able to commute to and from Greenspoint area (45 N and Beltway 8)
