Texas Sports Academy seeks a sports mentor who can convert elite-level discipline into practical coaching that drives student development. This role is focused on direct coaching and mentoring, turning competitive experience into actionable motivation, resilience training, and leadership skills for students. Location: Austin, TX (fully on-site). Relocation assistance available. Salary: $150,000 annual, distributed weekly. Full health, dental, and vision coverage from day one. What You Will Be Doing
Conduct focused 1:1 coaching sessions that translate your competitive background into concrete, executable strategies for student development Lead dynamic morning assemblies to energize the student body Deliver interactive life skills workshops on resilience, leadership, and goal development Direct organized afternoon athletic training that embodies championship principles: create drills, demand maximum effort, refine technique, and foster grit and collaboration through athletic activity Interact with students throughout the day, encouraging them during self-directed learning periods and creating instructional opportunities that catalyze transformative thinking What You Won’t Be Doing
Not a passive observer; you will be directly involved with students, leading sessions and making real-time interventions Not delivering conventional academic instruction; focus is on life coaching, inspiration, and developing transferable skills through athletics and mentorship Basic Requirements
Former elite-level athletes who have competed at sport’s highest tier (Olympians, World Champions, professional athletes across NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans) Bachelor's degree in any field Documented experience leveraging athletics to mentor and develop life skills Evidence of motivational leadership in competitive, educational, or professional contexts Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship Willingness to reside in or relocate to Austin, TX About Sports Academy

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
