
Overview
Beehive Hair Studio is looking for Full-time Front Desk Sales Support Staff. The position is available for a career-minded person. We are a multi-service salon. Must enjoy and excel at sales offerings and have a charismatic personality.
This position is responsible for providing a great first and last impression in customer care, offering salon guests additional service opportunities, as well as assisting guests in understanding our products, specials, and company programs, while following all company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Maintain front desk tasks and handle cash drawer
Answer telephone calls and provide information/booking appointments to callers
Schedule appointments and follow up with customers to remind them of their appointments
Greet customers arriving at the salon and provide them with information regarding salon services
Ask customers if they are allergic to any products and ensure the service provider is aware of this information
Answer any service-related questions
Ensure that customers are handed over to the correct service providers in the salon
Ask customers for feedback on salon’s services and provide assistance with problems or complaints
Provide customers with information on product benefits used during their service (Tell Don't Sell)
Ensure cleanliness, neatness, and sanitation of the salon and equipment
Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (for email)
Proficiency with Envision Salon Software Version 8 (processing sales, marketing, scheduling, time clock, etc.). Self-education via Envision Online University
Record customers’ contact information in the salon software
Handle hair salon supplies and equipment inventory activities
Maintain positive work relationships with vendors to ensure sufficient salon supplies are available
Schedule customers’ next appointment at checkout (prebook)
Check out customers, process payments for services rendered, and issue change and receipts
Count cash at the end of the shift and reconcile with the software
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and popular hair styling techniques to keep current with fashions
Qualifications
Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate
Have some knowledge of hair cutting and styling procedures
