Waldorf Astoria is looking for an

In-Room Dining Server

to join the Food and Beverage Team at this gorgeous Atlanta property! Located in one of Atlanta’s most prestigious neighborhoods, this 42‑story tower has over 200 rooms (127 guest rooms plus residences), over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, and 3 food and beverage outlets. This includes the 3‑meal restaurant, bar, and in‑room dining.

Classification: Full‑Time

Shift: Various – must have availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

Prior experience in a luxury in‑room dining establishment is preferred

Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner

In‑depth knowledge of food and preparation

Good knowledge of wine

Ability to relate to all levels of guests and management

Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time

Excellent communication and organization skills

Ability to consistently delight and satisfy our guest

Ability to handle guest requests in a detailed manner

Read, write and oral proficiency in the English language

Professional appearance and demeanor at all times

What will I be doing? As an In‑Room Dining Server, you will work to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction through the accurate and timely delivery of all orders and amenities received per the Order Taker. You should be able to anticipate guests’ needs and address them accordingly in order to provide guests with a delightful experience. Additionally, the servers will maintain a clean work environment and help keep the In Room Dining area organized as instructed by the management team.

Provide excellent service at all times to all of our guests

Assist guests courteously and efficiently

Set up tables up to our standard

Basic knowledge of food and beverage in order to service the product, including liquors and cocktails

Set up side station

Make sure that all silver and glasses are wiped and spotless

Mark tables appropriately to food order for each course

Set up tables according to Speed sheet or coordinators instructions

Anticipate guest needs, as to where guests will never have to ask for anything

Delivery of gest orders using a cart and / or a tray

Frequently walks the floors to retrieve trays and tables from corridors and rooms

Empty dirty dishes to dishwasher area, change soiled linen

Reset tables

Attend all food and beverage training classes

Following the posted opening and closing duties and side work sheet

Attend daily pre meal/communication meeting

Attend monthly department meeting

Generate a good atmosphere
