Senior Meat Cutter – Sam’s Club
As a Senior Meat Cutter you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the members’ expectations.
Base pay range $18.00/hr – $25.00/hr
Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources; communicate effectively, develop interpersonal skills for customer service; be flexible to business needs; track goods, maintain in‑stock levels, and control shrinkage.
Maintain an in‑depth knowledge of the various types and seasonality of different meat products, equipment usage, and back‑room operations; provide meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping); ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation & inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions about production, training, and product quality; adapt to new tools and encourage others.
Drive business results, ensuring commitment to operational excellence; plan for profitability; maintain a work area according to company policies; ensure quality & standards for high‑volume meat products; eliminate waste; secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise; assist members with purchasing decisions; ensure proper packaging, labeling & storage.
Advocate for the department and the club by valuing members’ experience in the meat area and modeling high‑quality service and products; execute basics at highest quality; interact with associates to understand roadblocks and assist in training them.
Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity; use Open Door Policy.
Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and partners; identify priorities, deadlines, expectations; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; adapt and learn from change.

Minimum Qualifications
6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Successfully complete all required job trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period.
Preferred Qualifications
Meat Processing area experience.
